Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s form has often been questioned since his return from injury, but India skipper Rohit Sharma “believes a lot” in him as the seamer bowled a brilliant over that helped the hosts win. 2nd T20I against West Indies, In this Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave four runs. 19th over As West Indies fell short of eight runs in a thrilling end. “When you are playing against these guys (West Indies power hitters) you are always a little scared. He said, “The way Virat started, it took the pressure off me too. It was a very important innings. And great finishes by Rishabh and Venky Iyer. It’s so nice to see Iyer have that kind of maturity. He looks confident and towards the end he asked me if I wanted to give him an over.” However, the fielding could have been better, he added.
Rohit said, “We were a little sluggish in the field, a little disappointed with it. We could have done better if we had taken those catches. We want to try to reduce those mistakes going forward.”
West Indies captain Kieron Pollard took a lot out of the game despite the loss and praised Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell for taking the game to the last over.

“He (Powell) was fantastic today. His partnership with Pooran almost put us over the line. Happy with the guys. The ball was spinning and they have good bowlers. You have to give credit for that,” he added.
“In the first game you could say we were a little slow in the middle overs but we fixed it here. We can’t get the batsmen out. We can look at it in different ways, how we got those eight runs. We could. We are a work in progress.” PTI BS KHS KHS
