After yesterday’s summons by ED, Telangana’s K. ‘Will not bow down to an oppressive regime,’ says Kavita.

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA and Telangana Chief Minister K.K. Chandrashekhar’s (KCR) daughter K. Kavita has been summoned on March 9.

In a statement, Kavita assured her full cooperation as a “law-abiding citizen”, but warned the Center that such “bullying tactics… will not deter us”.

Kavita said that she would be in Delhi on March 10 to participate in a day-long protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar demanding the Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament.

Due to “dharnas and pre-scheduled appointments”, Kavita will seek legal opinion a day before her ED appointment, he added.

Under Chandrasekhar’s leadership, they said in their statement, “… we will continue to fight to expose your failures and raise your voice for a brighter and better future of India”.

The BRS leader is being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the Delhi liquor scam and the ED has named Kavita in its charge sheet in the case.

His former auditor Buchibabu Gorantla was arrested in the case in early February and got bail on Monday.

CBI Said Gorantla played a role in formulating and implementing the Delhi Excise Policy and causing wrongful gain to Hyderabad-based wholesale and retail licensees and their beneficial owners.
