Agneepath director Karan Malhotra says Hrithik Roshan deserves more as an artiste

Director Karan Malhotra, who made his directorial debut with Hrithik Roshan starrer Agneepath, is all praise for the birthday boy. Released in 2012, the film went on to become one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of that year. In an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in, the director recalled his Agneepath days with Hrithik and said that he deserves more.

‘Hrithik Roshan deserves more than he is getting’

Recalling working with him in Agneepath, Karan Malhotra said, “I think Hrithik is a very special kind of artist, he is very unique. He is one of a kind in the sense that when I have Having worked with him in my first film Agneepath, I was nothing but he completely surrendered to my vision despite being a big star. He gave his everything. He had so much honesty to the character. , brought so much vulnerability that no one else could have. And he is someone who loves challenges. You see any of his work, it is full of challenges for him as an artist and I think That they like it. They like to be thrown around, to be open to ideas that are unique and that may be new to them.”

‘Hrithik is a director’s actor and team player’

As an actor, Karan Malhotra loves Hrithik a lot. He said, “On the sets, it was a very cordial relationship. He’s a director’s actor and a team player. He’s excited like a kid, constantly exploring. I think that’s after so many years of work. After all, he’s constantly exploring, his enthusiasm is literally like a kid on set – constantly curious, wanting to explore, trying new things and it’s phenomenal.”

Sharing a secret about the Super 30 actor, the director said, “I think personally, Hrithik has a very funny side that not many have seen. I hope to see more.
