Ahmedabad-based technology start-up Matter introduced lithium-ion-based battery packs for mobility and stationary applications at India Energy Storage Week, along with a preview of the battery swap ecosystem concept for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers. India Energy Storage Week was organized in New Delhi. Paving the way for higher EV adoption and enabling the clean energy transition, Matter’s energy storage systems aim to support RE generators, transmission operators, discoms and other end users. The company says that these made-in-India solutions are designed for Indian consumers as well as global markets.

Mohal Lalbhai, Founder and CEO, Matter said, “Our battery swapping ecosystem will complement India’s rapidly growing two wheeler and three wheeler ecosystem with advanced and class-leading safety, quality and performance standards. Matter’s upcoming battery swapping technology is called Swap ME! Which will include features such as swap systems, data integration, thermal management, predictive AI and a smart user interface that will enable various service models to be multiplied and meet the demands of users. Swap it me! The stations will be quick plug-in-and-play docks, while one can swap batteries in less than a minute and will cater to the predominantly electric two- and three-wheeler segment. Connected technology will allow consumers to refill on the go. Also, swap me! Backed by a mobile application, it keeps you up to date on various metrics such as SoC, SoH, SoP, battery temperature, voltage, amperage and number of cycles.
Nitin Gadkari was present at the 8th edition of India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2022 organized by India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA).
Another product showcased at the India Energy Storage Week is the ME BES 1000 range, which offers energy solutions that are compact and easily customizable up to 1000 V for installations. These battery packs are equipped with an advanced HVAC system to tackle the varied climatic conditions of India.

Matter recently introduced the Matter Energy 1.0, an active liquid-cooled two-wheeler EV battery pack with the Matter Drive 1.0 motor, an intelligent thermal management system.
