AIMIM MLA’s son in custody in Hyderabad gang rape case

The son of an All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MLA has been detained by the police for his involvement in the Hyderabad gang rape case. He is a minor.

All six of the six accused identified in the rape case have been taken into custody, including 18-year-old Saaduddin Malik, who was arrested on Friday. He has been charged with outraging modesty and criminal assault under sections of the POCSO Act, and the Penal Code.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand said the idea of ​​the party was created by a boy from Bangalore. One Usman Ali Khan booked a pub and on May 28, the victim paid Rs 1,300 and entered the pub with her friends.

He said, “At 3:15 pm a minor reached the victim with Saaduddin. The conspiracy was hatched inside the pub. When the victim’s friend left the club, the accused trapped the victim.”

The five persons involved in the rape shall be punished with imprisonment of not less than 20 years and shall be punishable with imprisonment for life, or with the death penalty, till death.

For the son of an AIMIM MLA accused of sexual harassment, imprisonment of at least five to seven years will apply.

“There is strong evidence against the accused,” the commissioner said.

A 17-year-old girl, who had gone to a club for a party, was allegedly gang-raped by five men inside a car on Saturday, May 28. He was dropped back at the pub at around 7.32 pm.

After this, the police registered a case against unknown people based on the complaint of the girl’s father. Initially, it was a case of “breach of modesty”, but when the girl gave a detailed statement, a case of rape was registered.

The accused were identified using CCTV footage and after the arrest, Saududdin revealed that the crime took place inside a Toyota Innova Crysta. The police have seized the car from a farmhouse.

Amid reports of the accused cleaning the vehicle, the police said that the forensic teams have collected a good amount of evidence related to the incident.

Meanwhile, a case was registered against BJP MLA M Raghunandan Rao after he allegedly released a video related to the case, revealing the identity of the victim.

On June 4, the BJP MLA, at a press conference, displayed some photographs and a video clip and alleged that the AIMIM MLA’s son’s ‘involvement’ was shown in the matter.
