Air India Express flight to Muscat had to turn back due to technical snag

Air India Express flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Muscat, Oman turned back soon after take-off due to a technical glitch in its on-board computer system.

The flight, IX 549, which took off from the state capital Kerala at 8.30 am, returned to the international airport here at 9.17 am after a pilot noticed a technical snag.

An Air India Express spokesperson said, “All 105 passengers and crew members are safe.”

The airline is trying to arrange another flight for the passengers and it is expected to take off at 1 pm, he said.

All the passengers are being well taken care of, he said.
