Akasa Air unveils its first look

Support Rakesh Jhunjhunwala akasa air On Monday, it revealed the first look of its aircraft, dressed in purple and orange colors of its brand logo.

The airline released photos of its first aircraft at Boeing’s production facility in Portland, United States. The pictures show the two engines, the wings as well as the tail in orange colour. The wings and tail also have a purple lettering, as well as the letter A—its logo—in purple.

Akasa will take delivery of its first aircraft in India by mid-June and will start commercial flights in India by July 2022.

The airline has ordered a total of 72 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, with plans to fly 18 aircraft in India by the end of March 2023 on domestic routes in the country. This initial focus will be on connecting Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

The remaining 54 aircraft will be inducted in the next four years.
