Lucknow: Samajwadi Party director Akhilesh Yadav accused of judgment BJP An attempt was made to “steal” people’s mandate after a truck laden with EMV was stopped by party workers in Varanasi on Tuesday. The Varanasi District Election Officer claimed that the EVMs were being transported for training purposes.
Responding to Yadav’s allegations, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya Rejected the allegations leveled by him and asked to stop the staging of the play before counting of votes. He said that the Election Commission makes proper arrangements for each candidate to keep an eye on the EVMs.
Talking to reporters in Lucknow, Akhilesh also said that the exit polls were meant to create an impression that saffron party Will be victorious in Uttar Pradesh elections. He also alleged that government officials in Lucknow are instructing their subordinates in districts to slow down the counting of votes and carry on the process till late at night, where BJP candidates are less likely to win.

Today in Varanasi, where they were carrying EVMs, a truck carrying machines was caught, while two other trucks ran away. If the government is not involved in stealing votes, it should at least explain why the administration did not make security arrangements (for EVMs).
“The force created for the UP elections has not left the state yet. What are the reasons that EVMs were being transported without any security?” SP chief asked.
He also said that EVMs were kept in strongrooms and machines cannot be moved or moved from one place to another without informing the candidates concerned.
“In Bareilly, three sealed boxes (with EVMs) were found in a municipal vehicle (registration number UP25DT9166) carrying garbage. Plain ballot papers and items used for sealing (EVM) were also found. A similar case has also come to the fore from Sonbhadra. What justification will the government give?” Yadav asked.
