Ali Fazal is not happy with food in America, know why (see photos)

What comes to your mind when you think of American cuisine? The immediate answer would be classics like burgers, fried chicken, hot dogs, and pancakes. Each of these foods comes with the tag on junk food and is loaded with calories. According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, an average American meal contains calories from added salt, saturated fat, refined grains, solid fats and added sugars. Therefore, American foods don’t figure on any fitness enthusiast’s list. Looks like it is no different for actor Ali Fazal as well.

Ali Fazalwith wife and actor Richa Chadha, is currently holidaying in the United States. The actor has been giving stories of his stay from time to time on Instagram. Keeping up with the tradition, he recently uploaded two stories that caught our attention. It was about his concern about American food. In the first story we could see him with a confused expression. Ali Fazal wrote, “American (food) has sugar in everything. Even in simple salads they add honey… or something like a little FOMO act. Urghhhh.” Check out the story here.

In another story, we saw a snap of a restaurant menu featuring salads and sushi. Here, he talks about how a simple balsamic sauce incorporated the sweetener in America. “No way!!! The balsamic “dressing” is a slang term for “Balsamic is fine, but hey, I’ll mix it with honey and some other sugary sweet stuff,” read the picture caption. Take a look.
