A recent report might be disappointing for Pushpa’s fans. According to Gulte media outlet, the shooting of Pushpa 2 was temporarily halted due to the Income Tax (IT) raid at Sukumar’s house. IT raids were also conducted at the office of the production house Mythri Movie Makers. The raids were conducted early in the morning in search of undeclared assets and money. Due to these raids, a fight sequence involving Allu Arjun and some foreign stunt personnel has been postponed for now.
This is not the first time that the shoot of Pushpa: The Rule has been stalled. according to a report in Bollywood Jeevan, earlier this month, said Sukumar was dissatisfied with the shoot. The report claims that he is contemplating whether or not to scrap whatever has been shot for Pushpa 2 so far. He wants to re-shoot all the scenes once again. Another report in Siasat.com claims that the shooting of Pushpa 2 is likely to begin after about three months. If this report is true then Pushpa 2 is unlikely to release this year. Till then there was no official confirmation whether the shooting of Pushpa 2 has been stopped or postponed.
Pushpa: Niyam will focus on the life of Pushpa. Sukumar had said this in an interview given to Pinkvilla. According to Sukumar, Pushpa 2 is about the struggle between Pushpa and Shekhawat. According to him, after completing the script of Pushpa 2, he felt that it was a very interesting drama. Sukumar ends the interview by saying that he will not disappoint and hopes that the audience will enjoy the sequel as well.
Sukumar also talked about the plot of the film in an interview with Ragalhari Portal. He added that Pushpa: Niyam will trace Pushpa’s childhood and relationship with her father and step-siblings. “The film will not be about Don Pushpa”, said Sukumar.
