Assembly Speaker and Amdalavalasa MLA Thammineni Sitaram on Sunday accused Amaravati farmers of trying to create unrest among the people with his maha padyatra from Amaravati to Arasvalli from September 12.

Addressing the media, Shri Sitaram said that the National President of Kisan TDP, N. At the behest of Chandrababu Naidu, he is taking out a padyatra.

“Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to develop three capitals for the benefit of all regions. The farmers, with the support of the TDP, planned a Maha padayatra to halt the development of the northern Andhra and Rayalaseema regions. They are shedding crocodile tears to gain sympathy from the people of North Andhra region,” said Mr. Sitaram.

“The government should foil the farmers’ plan to create unrest,” he said, adding that if any untoward incident happens during the farmers’ walkathon, Mr. Naidu will have to take responsibility.
