America said ‘low level of Kovid’ in India; Citizens advised to shut down completely before traveling abroad – Times of India

New Delhi: Due to the rapid improvement in the pandemic situation and increased vaccination here, India is now at the lowest level of COVID risk to the US.
The US State Department said that “indicating low levels of Kovid-19 in the country”, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 1 (Least Threat Level) for India.
A travel advisory for India issued on Monday said, “If you are vaccinated with a fully FDA-approved vaccine, you may have a reduced risk of contracting COVID-19 and developing severe symptoms. ”
Door COVID Status in India, the CDC website said: “Important information for travelers to India: Make sure you are fully vaccinated before traveling to India. Travelers must follow recommendations or requirements in India, including wearing a mask and staying six feet away from others. Fully vaccinated travelers are less likely to get and spread COVID-19. ,
“However, international travel poses additional risks, and even fully vaccinated travelers may be at increased risk for acquiring and possibly spreading certain COVID-19 variants. Do not travel internationally until you have been fully vaccinated. If you have not been fully vaccinated, there are additional recommendations to follow before, during and after travel,” the CDC website said.
