Metoya Smith reportedly sent a voicemail saying “If you don’t start feeding my…babies better…I’m gonna spin…and blow that mom…” . Hearing a voicemail, a member of the school’s staff called the police and the entire school premises were searched. However, this did not yield any evidence of an explosive device.

While Metoya Smith did not drop her name on voicemail, school officials were able to cross-reference the number that was called using school records, which listed it as the number of a 41-year-old woman. .

Court documents also confirmed that the woman’s son had a verbal altercation with a cafeteria worker in February “regarding wanting extra food”.

However, her sister Andrea Johnson has claimed that law enforcement arrested the wrong person. talking to CBS affiliate WKMGshe said, “she has been falsely accused based on falsified documents at Cocoa High School.” The woman further alleged that the child involved was not even Smith’s son, saying, “Not her son, Not his telephone.
