Amethi/New Delhi:

Rahul Gandhi today led a Congress unopposed attack on the central government as he led a march in his former Lok Sabha constituency Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, his sister and the party’s UP in-charge, was with him as the Congress regains its footing while the BJP tries hard for a second consecutive term.

Visiting Amethi for the second time after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Mr. Gandhi, 51, said, “Every street in Amethi is still the same. Only people have anger against the government in their eyes.”

“There is a place in our hearts as before. We are still united against injustice,” he said, leading an anti-price rally. “I joined politics in 2004. Amethi was the city where I contested my first election. People of Amethi have taught me a lot about politics. You have shown me the path of politics and I want to thank everyone “

India’s border dispute with China, farmers’ deaths at protest sites, and “Hindu vs Hindutva“The BJP was taunted in his speech.

“A Hindu spends his whole life walking on the path of truth. A Hindu never bows to his fear – he faces all his fears. He never allows his fear to turn into anger, hatred. But a Hindutvaist uses lies only to stay in power.Mahatma Gandhiji said that the path of a Hindu is that SatyagrahaCongress MP from Wayanad in Kerala, Mr. Gandhi said.

Amethi had been a Congress stronghold till Rahul Gandhi lost to BJP’s Smriti Irani in 2019 by over 50,000 votes.

This was one of several setbacks for the party since the BJP assumed power at the Center in 2014.

Today’s six-kilometre foot march in Amethi comes exactly a week after top Congress leaders – including Sonia Gandhi – held a rally in Rajasthan, they say, to highlight the Centre’s failures. Rahul Gandhi had hit out at the BJP in Rajasthan too with a “Hindu vs Hindutva” jibe.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been visiting the state in the last few weeks to launch several government projects a few months before the elections.

However, the launch of all these projects just ahead of the elections has also come under attack from rivals.

Intensifying the attack, Rahul Gandhi, while targeting the BJP government at the state and the center, talked about PM Modi’s big Varanasi launch earlier this week. “You are aware of today’s situation. Unemployment and inflation are the biggest questions that neither the Chief Minister nor the Prime Minister will answer. PM Modi was taking a dip in the Ganges a few days ago but will not talk about unemployment.”

“a ‘Hindutva‘ Let alone bathe in the Ganges, while a Hindu bathes with crores of people… Narendra Modi says he is a Hindu, but when did he protect the truth? He asked people to blast Plate To get rid of COVID…Hindu or Hindutva,

“Middle class people and poor people were badly affected by some of the decisions taken by the PM, which also resulted in massive unemployment. Demonetisation, GST, no help during the covid crisis are the major reasons for unemployment in India. ,
