New Delhi: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Madhushala’ NFT collection, autographed posters and collectibles, has received bids of USD 520,000 (approx). ₹3.8 crores on the first day of the auction organized by Beyondlife.club).
In August, BeyondLife.Club, a venture between Rhythm Entertainment and GuardianLink.io, announced that Bachchan would launch his NFT (fungible token) collection on the platform.
An NFT is a unit of data stored on a digital ledger, called a blockchain, that certifies a digital asset to be unique and, therefore, not exchangeable. NFTs can be used to represent objects such as photos, videos, audios and other types of digital files.
According to a statement, Bachchan’s ‘Madhushala’ NFT collection has received the highest ever bid in India for USD 420,000 on the first day of the auction.
Madhushala is the poetry collection of the actor’s father recorded in his own voice of NFT Superstar. In addition, the auction also features seven autographed posters of his iconic films and a half-dozen collectibles from the “Punk and NFT Art and Poster Collection”, which received bids of over USD 100,000 on its first day.
The auction, which opens on November 1 and closes on November 4, is being hosted on Beyondlife.club. It is powered by GuardianLink, one of India’s largest decentralized branded marketplaces for NFTs.
Another feature at the auction is the ‘Loot Box’, priced at US$10, in which each buyer of the box receives an assured art piece from the NFT collection. Loot Box offers 5,000 collectibles, for which over 300,000 crypto collectible fans have signed up globally.
NFT collection is based on Guardian Link’s Anti-RIP NFT technology which prevents NFTs from being copied, thereby protecting the exclusive rights of its owner.
