Ana de Armas in talks to lead ‘John Wick’ spin-off ‘Ballerina’

Ana de Armas is in talks to topline ‘John Wick’ spin-off film ‘Ballerina’.

Shay Hatton, writer of the Keanu Reeves-starrer “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum,” wrote the script for the project, which has been in development for several years.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the spin-off centers on a young female killer who seeks revenge on the people who killed her family, told time limit.

Glimpses of a female killer trained in ballet were featured in “Parabellum”.

At this point, it’s unclear whether Reeves will appear in the spin-off, which will be helmed by “Underworld” director Len Wiseman.

The actor, however, will serve as executive producer on the project, which will be produced by Basil Ivanick, Erica Lee and Chad Stahelski.

Armas most recently starred in the James Bond film “No Time to Die”, in which he co-starred with Daniel Craig.

She will next be seen in Anthony and Joe Russo’s “The Gray Man” and the much-anticipated Marilyn Monroe biopic “Blonde”. The Cuban star will also appear in “Deep Water” with Ben Affleck.
