Industrialist Anand Mahindra has shared a video of two brothers, aged 17 and 11, running an eatery in Amritsar after their father’s death in December 2021. The story of two children is narrated by a food blogger running the YouTube channel “Amritsar Walking Tours”. The blogger explains in the video that after the passing of his father, now the entire responsibility of the restaurant has fallen on both the brothers and in such a situation they are struggling to survive. The rent of the restaurant space is also very high. And the boys need the support of the people to help them through their financial constraints. Their father had started “The Grill” restaurant three months earlier, but after he passed away on December 26 last year, both children had to do as well. Apart from running the business, take care of your family.

Sharing the video on Twitter, Mahindra wrote, “These kids are one of the smartest people I’ve seen anywhere. Maybe they’ll have people queuing up for restaurants soon. I love Amritsar I usually look forward to the world’s best jalebis in the city, but when I am in the city, I add this place to my meal.”

Many on Twitter expressed their concerns about the brothers and lost childhoods, believing that people’s support would not help them run a restaurant. Besides, they have to spend money on some essential facilities to run the place. He said that brothers should be able to concentrate on their education without taking such a huge responsibility.

The food blogger ended the video of the restaurant and appealed to the people to come to their restaurant if they are in Amritsar. He said that it is a small place but in terms of quality, their food is no less than a reputed restaurant. The internet is known to come together for such causes and netizens have brought fame overnight to many people who are making small business endeavors. Mahindra itself has done it for many, the latest being a disabled person who was offered a job at his company after Mahindra shared a video of a man driving an improvised vehicle.
