Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant looked resplendent in Indian attire at the engagement ceremony held at Ambani’s Mumbai residence Antilla on January 19.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s Gol Dhan ceremony celebrated the coming together of tradition, culture and family. Held on January 19 at Ambani’s Mumbai residence Antilla, the Ambani family welcomed bride-to-be Radhika Merchant with open arms as she walked down the steps of the Ambani House wearing an ornate gold lehenga.
Radhika Merchant looked regal in a gold outfit by ace fashion designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Draped like a Gujarati style saree where the pallu is fronted, the lehenga features zari work and tassels in tone on tone embroidery. She completed the look with a beautiful waistband. Keeping the makeup minimal, Radhika wore Maang Teeka and a diamond necklace.
Complementing his bride-to-be, Ananth looked dapper in a navy blue kurta set, which was teamed with a waist coat with gold motifs. The gold and blue color combination added to their charming personality and they looked perfect as a couple. The bride and groom were in their element and were seen welcoming relatives and guests.

The couple was joined by their close family members and posed for the shutterbugs before the ceremony. Keeping it traditional and edgy, the groom’s mother Nita Ambani and sister Isha Ambani Piramal also opted for designs by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. While Nita Ambani went traditional in her ensemble, Isha Ambani looked stunning in a Piramal ivory Indo-Western silhouette. Shloka opted for a sparkly ivory lehenga set and Akash Ambani looked stylish in a peacock green kurta set.
For the mehendi ceremony held on Tuesday, January 17, Radhika Merchant looked drop dead gorgeous in an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga set. Describing the moment and the beautiful outfit as ‘The Hues of Joy’, the couturiers celebrated Radhika and her ravishing personality with floral booties and mirror-embroidered multi-coloured silk lehenga. Radhika completed the pink ensemble with an emerald-encrusted polki choker necklace, a long gold necklace, maang tikka and a pair of stylish jhumkis. Her minimal makeup look and fishtail braid adorned with flowers added to her overall look.
The engagement ceremony was attended by many celebrities who came to bless the couple and wish them a happy life together. Some of the celebrity guests who arrived early for the ceremony included Sachin Tendulkar, Anjali Tendulkar, Rajkumar Hirani.
