Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan doubled up as BFF Ananya Panday’s biggest cheerleader ever since the latter’s film Gehrayan released. The Shakun Batra directorial, which skipped theatrical release and released directly on Amazon Prime Video, stars Ananya in the role of Tia, a prosperous 20’s engaged to Zain, played by Siddhant Chaturvedi. She is also seen as Deepika Padukone’s cousin in the film.
Suhana took to her Instagram stories to share a picture of Ananya from a party scene in the film. While Suhana is yet to share her review of the film, she shared the picture with the name of Ananya’s character below the picture and tagged the actress. Ananya reposted the picture and thanked Suhana. However, in the process, he reveals Suhana’s goofy nickname. “Suhuubhai (heart emoji) ili,” she captioned the picture.
Suhana and Ananya are friends since childhood. Not only did they go to the same school together but they also spent time with each other’s parents. Ananya once said that Shah Rukh is like a second father to her. While Ananya has been in the industry for a few years now, Suhana is also likely to make her big move in Bollywood.
The 21-year-old, who has earlier hinted at following in Shah Rukh’s footsteps, is rumored to be making her acting debut opposite Zoya Akhtar. A few days back, Suhana was also seen leaving the filmmaker’s office. Neither Suhana nor Shah Rukh have confirmed their debut plans.
As far as the depth is concerned, the film has got good reviews. News18’s review read, “While Deepika Padukone’s performance is fine (she is weak in emotional scenes), Ananya Panday is too playful to leave her mark even after doubting her fiancé. Both men (Siddhant Chaturvedi and Siddhant Chaturvedi) Patience Karva) are huge disappointments, and they can’t get into their characters to express distress.”
