Andhra Pradesh has got a new map with 13 new districts. full list here

Andhra Pradesh today created 13 new districts, taking the total number to 26. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy digitally inaugurated 13 new districts in the state from his office camp at Tadepalli in Guntur district. All the new districts have come into effect from April 4. Ministers, MPs, MLAs, District Collectors and Superintendents of Police attended the inaugural programs in their respective districts.

The new names of 13 new districts are as follows

Alluri Sitarama Raju in District Paderuankapally, Annamayya in District Rayachoti; Bapatla, Chittoor, in East Godavari District Rajamagendravaram; Kakinada in East Godavari district; Konaseema district in Amalapuram; Nandyal in Vijayawada, NTR District; Narasaraopet in Palnadu district; Parvathipuram Manyam, Sri Sathya Sai District, Puttaparthi; Tirupati District and West Godavari District in Bhimavaram; Anantapuramu in Machilipatnam, Guntur, Krishna District; Kurnool in Ongole, Prakasam District; Sri Pottisreeramulu district in Nellore; Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and YSR districts in Cuddapah.

Andra Pradesh The government had issued an official gazette notification on January 25, 2022 to create 13 new districts under the AP District Formation Act, Section 3(5).
