Home Minister Tanathi Vanitha on 30 April addressed G.K. of Dwarka Tirumala mandal in Eluru district. Condoled the family members of YSR Congress Party worker Ganji Prasad, who was murdered by some miscreants in Kothapalli village.

Ms. Vanitha visited Prasad’s house on May 1 and questioned her family members about the incident. He assured strict action against the accused who killed the party leader.

In view of the visit of the Home Minister, the police had arrested G. Tight security arrangements have been made in Kothapalli village. Former minister Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas and ruling party leaders were among those who visited the village.

The Home Minister spoke to the bereaved family members and promised to help them in any way possible.

Additional forces have been deployed and G. Section 144 has been imposed in Kothapalli as the last rites of the deceased are to be performed today.

Police arranged a picket and beefed up security as Prasad was murdered by his rival group, and some villagers attacked Gopalapuram ruling party MLA Talari Venkata Rao on Saturday, suspecting his role in the crime. .
