Andhra Pradesh: TDP workers protest against police for disrupting Naidu’s meeting

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) workers protested TDP national president N.K. Protested against the alleged high-handed behavior of the police in disrupting Chandrababu Naidu’s public meeting. Gandhi statue near GVMC here on Friday.

TDP Visakhapatnam Parliament District President Palla Srinivasa Rao, party in-charge of Visakhapatnam South constituency Gandhi Babaji, party leaders Golagani Veera Rao, B. Vijayalakshmi, Narasimhachari, Villuri Chakraborty, D. Satyanarayana, A. Jagdish, GB Ravi Shankar, N. Shankar Rao, Valisetty Tataji and Budumuri Govind were among those who participated in the protest.

Meanwhile, BJP state vice-president and former MLA P. Vishnu Kumar, Leader of the Opposition N. Strongly objected to the police action in preventing Chandrababu Naidu from holding a public meeting. He said that if something happened to Mr. Naidu due to the security breach, the Chief Minister or the Director General of Police (DGP) should take responsibility.

Shri Vishnu Kumar Raju wondered why the Chief Minister was concerned about the public meeting when he was confident of winning all the 175 assembly seats. He said that the newly appointed governor should initiate measures to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.
