The single ‘Annathe’ from the upcoming film starring Rajinikanth and Nayanthara in lead roles features the superstar’s intro song.
‘Annathe Annaatthe’ is the first single from superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Annaatthe The release by the makers on Monday, leaving fans of late legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam in a state of joy and sorrow, as it marks his last song in films.
After the release of the song, actor Rajinikanth posted an emotional note remembering SPB, whose first death anniversary was celebrated recently. Taking to Twitter, Rajinikanth said, “For 45 years the voice of SPB brought my characters to life. Not in my wildest dreams I thought the song he sang for Annaatthe will be his last. My dear SPB is alive through his voice (sic).”
Written by Viveka, the song is a peppy number and is said to be Rajinikanth’s introduction song in the film, with music composed by D Imman. Directed by Shiva, known for his family entertainers, Annaatthe It is also being called a family drama. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film stars Khushboo, Meena, Keerthy Suresh, Prakash Raj and Suri in pivotal roles.
