The Spanish club said on Tuesday that Anthony Martial will play for Sevilla on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season.

United manager Ralph Rangnick said last month that the 26-year-old was looking to drop down the club’s list of forwards behind Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani, Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood.

The France forward became the most expensive teenage player in the world when United signed him from Monaco in September 2015 for £36 million (then $55.1 million), which could potentially add up to £58 million ($78 million).

There was no reported transfer fee or purchase option.
