The Anti-Corruption Bureau in Bengaluru, Karnataka raided nine properties of alleged middlemen, who are influencing bureaucrats to do favors.

Sources said that at least 100 officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau or ACB visited the properties of alleged middlemen in separate teams, who used influence to reach out to the officials of the Bengaluru Development Authority.

ACB officials have seized luxury watches, sunglasses and expensive cars. Sources said that the houses raided by the ACB team are no less than luxury bungalows with expensive fittings and materials.

The ACB also said that they have seized gold and diamond ornaments from the house of one of the accused, Mohan. These include more than 4 kg of gold, 15 kg of silver and 70 grams of diamond.

“Today ACB Bangalore City conducted searches at 9 different places belonging to 9 middlemen, agents and touts who are suspected of influencing public servants by corrupt and illegal means by using their personal influence, thereby causing malpractices in their activities. and other irregularities involving the Bengaluru Development Authority,” the ACB said in a statement.
