Anurag Thakur praises Neeraj Chopra: ‘The champion has made the country proud again’

Chopra’s first throw was 88.67 which was a great way to start the new season. His first throw was enough to seal the win but he still tried to move on.

It was clear after his throw that Chopra was not satisfied despite getting off to a good start. He was leading the charts after the first attempt.

Chopra’s second throw resulted in a distance of 86.04 m, which extended his lead on the charts over Tokyo Olympics silver medalist Jakub Wadljech, who was able to reach 88.63 m, and world champion Andersen Peters, whose best effort was 85.88 m. Kept

Chopra had a lead of only four centimeters. In his third attempt, Neeraj threw the javelin from a distance of 85.47 metres. He kept the lead despite the distance being short on his first attempt.

In his second last attempt, he touched a distance of 84.37m. Wadledge, on the other hand, still could not cross Chopra’s distance (88.47m) in his fifth attempt. Anderson Peters fell behind in his fifth attempt as he recorded a distance of 82.22m.

In the end, Neeraj won the distance covered in his first attempt. However, the Olympic gold medalist missed out on crossing the 90m mark.
