On MP Shashi Tharoor expressing his desire to contest for the post of Congress President, Ramesh said that anyone is free to contest. “All Congress workers are currently focused on Bharat Jodi Yatra. Also, we have announced organizational elections and there is no bar on anyone from contesting elections. It is an open process. No one needs permission to contest elections. No one has to take permission from Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi to file nomination papers. We try to build consensus. When consensus is not possible, we will hold elections on October 17.”
