The Missile Man of India and former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam remains an inspiration to many people of all age groups. His dedication and service towards science and technology made him the missile man of the country. Avul Pakir Jainulabidin Abdul Kalam was born on 15 October 1931 in Rameswaram, a small town in Tamil Nadu. He attended school at Schwartz Higher Secondary School. Later, he worked as a scientist and science administrator in the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
