Apollo Hospitals reports over 35% drop in Q1 net profit to ₹317 crore

Chennai-based healthcare group, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise registered a decline of 35.12% 317.11 crore on consolidated basis as compared to profit of Rs.317.11 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2022 (Q1FY23) 489.28 crore in the same quarter last year. In contrast, the company posted a massive jump of 251.8% in Q1 PAT as compared to 90.14 crore in the previous quarter.

Consolidated revenue from operations stood at 3,795.60 in crores Q1FY23 slightly above 3,760.21 crore in Q1 last year. But revenue climbed more than 7% 3,546.43 crore in Q4FY22.

In Q1FY23, the total income of the company was 3,811.66 crore as compared to 3,784.85 crore in the same period a year ago.

On segment-wise performance, the company’s health care Services business recorded revenue Q1FY23 vs . 2,032.07 crore in 1,941.24 crore in Q1FY22. In addition, it earned a revenue of 6.26 crores in 24X7 digital business during the first quarter of the current financial year.

In addition, the company’s clinic business saw a revenue of Q1FY23 vs . 293.01 crore in 309 crore in Q1FY22. Meanwhile, the pharmacy distribution segment saw a revenue of 1,472.92 crore in Q1FY23 as against 1,512 crore in Q1 of FY22. Other business revenue at . came in 1.16 crore as compared to 1.06 crore in Q1FY22.

Meanwhile, Apollo Hospitals’ overall expenses soared 3,545.36 crore in Q1FY23 as against 3,475.58 crore in the same quarter of FY22.

Shares of the company closed on BSE below 4,434.25 84.80 or 1.88%. Shares have touched intraday highs and lows 4,555 each and 4,415.30 each respectively.
