Apple has changed its payment system in India, asking people to delete their debit/credit card details to buy apps and other items from the App Store. This week, the company sent out a mailer to its users in the country, asking them to sign up through various modes of payment so that they can purchase apps for their iPhones using the App Store.
This change has been brought after the new decision of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), which has ordered all companies to sync with card payments.

The new rule goes into effect from June 1, 2022, when credit and debit cards will no longer help you purchase apps and subscriptions for Apple TV+ or iCloud. Apple also says that it will not store your card details to protect users’ payment data.
How to Pay for Apps and Services on iPhone in India
The Apple mailer sent to iPhone users in India this week clearly highlights that using Unified Payment Interface (UPI) or net banking (or online banking) from your bank account can avoid any disruption to your services. is the best chance. – Go to your iPhone’s Settings
– Tap on your Apple ID
– Click on Payment & Shipping
– Now, add the payment method you want to use to add money to your Apple ID
– Choose between UPI and Net Banking as your options

Apple says both of these payment methods help you add funds to your registered Apple ID balance. You must have a sufficient balance in your Apple ID to continue using Apple Music, Apple TV+, iCloud, and any other third-party payment service.
