Apple memorabilia is popular with collectors.

A cheque signed by Apple founder Steve Jobs has attracted a latest bid of $25,000, which is almost Rs 21 lakh in Indian rupees.

It is no secret that Apple is an iconic company with a rich history, much of which is attributable to its late founder, Steve Jobs. And this is why, time and again, Apple memorabilia has fetched ludicrous money in various auctions.

This time, a cheque signed by Steve Jobs has attracted a latest bid of $25,000, which is almost Rs 21 lakh in Indian rupees.

So far, there have been 23 bids, and the next bid stands at $27,500. The said cheque is signed by Steve Jobs in the name of “Apple Computer Company” to RadioShack for a payment of $4.01, and has been dated July 23, 1976. “From The Account Of Apple Computer Company,” the cheque reads, followed by Apple’s first official address at “770 Welch Rd., Ste. 154, Palo Alto.”

This was the same address that Apple used while continuing to operate out of Steve Jobs’ family garage. RR Auction further notes that the cheque is in “very fine condition,” and this means that the cheque may get bids for even more.

This goes to show the brand value that Apple has been able to create for itself, and this has worked to such an extent that people are ready to pay thousands of dollars to get a piece of Apple’s rich history.

In related news, an Apple advertisement written by Steve Jobs was sold by RR Auctions for a whopping $1,75,759 or around Rs 1.44 crore. The ad features details and features of the Apple-1 computer, along with additional information that Steve Jobs wished to include. “Board only + manual, $75. A real deal,” Steve Jobs mentioned in the ad. The ad draft paper features Steve Jobs’ signature.
