Apple iPhone 16 Pro may have under-display Face ID feature

New Delhi: Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 Pro models will reportedly feature under-display Face ID technology to provide more usable display area. According to a MacRumors report, the tech giant may place the components required for Face ID authentication directly under the iPhone’s display next year.

The TrueDepth camera for Face ID will not appear below the display when not in use, instead, it will appear to blend seamlessly with the surrounding screen area. The hole in the display for the front camera is expected to remain on the iPhone 16 Pro, however, the overall display area and sense of immersion are likely to improve. ,ALSO READ: Samsung Galaxy S23 5G series launch event: How and where to watch live event, price in India, release date, other key details,

Since the under-display technology is not ready yet, the display cutout will not change from the iPhone 14 Pro to the iPhone 15 Pro later this year. The report states that the iPhone maker is likely to adopt an under-panel camera (UPC) once it implements the under-display Face ID technology, thereby eliminating all the display cutouts currently in use. ,ALSO READ: BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover offers Mercedes to employees to stay for 5 years at his new startup,
