Apple may be working on a cheaper display: What we know so far – Times of India

Ever since the 27-inch Thunderbolt display was discontinued in 2016 Apple Haven’t built an ‘affordable’ display. However, this may change. Currently, Apple sells the $5,000 Pro Display XDR, but there are rumors that new standalone displays are in the forging.
According to tech website MacRumors, the new display will not be as expensive as the Pro Display XDR and is expected to have a lower brightness and contrast ratio than the new display.
The MacRumors report mentions that Apple may release the display in two sizes, probably 24 inches and 27 inches. it is rumored that LG Might work on three display sizes – 24, 27 and 32 inches – which Apple can have.
Of the two, the 24 and 27-inch models are expected to be the lower-cost ones while the 32-inch model could be the Pro Display XDR follow-up.
While there are no leaks or information about the design or specs of the display, it could be in the works.
Rumor has it that Apple will host its first event of 2022 in March. The Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to unveil the iPhone SE alongside the all-new iPad Air.
