Apple: Mission Impossible music composer praises Apple’s spatial audio technology, here’s what he had to say about it – Times of India

in an interview with zane loweLaugh Well-known Musician Simar talked about Apple‘s local audio Technology and musicians love it.
While much of the interview was about Zimmer’s career, he also shared a small chat about Apple’s spatial audio technology. Zimmer mentions to Zane Lowe that Jony Ive (Apple’s former head of design) keeps sending him some, even though they’ve never met in person. This time I’ve sent her new headphones with a note that read, “I made this.”
Zimmer told zowe That he doesn’t listen to his songs “because they’re on stereo”. But Zimmer said these headphones are ‘amazing’. Impressed by the overall spatial audio technology and headphones, he contacted his friends DOLBY To ask him to redo and re-CD the entire soundtrack and he wanted to experience it all immersively. Surprisingly, he was told that these headphones don’t actually exist and the only pair he has.
Zimmer hasn’t mentioned the names of the headphones that were sent to him by Jony Ive, but it could be airpods max,
AirPods Max was launched in December 2020, Spatial audio support arrived earlier this year and we already know that Ive left Apple back in June 2019. There can be two possibilities here. Either Apple made the headphones in 2019 and launched them in 2020. Or even helped Apple make headphones after Ive left the company.
The latter part appears to be more accurate, although as Ive pointed out it will remain associated with Apple.
