According to the report, the sensors can also help in monitoring the blood oxygen level and heart rate of the wearer but these features are not new for the Apple Watch series. The sensors will reportedly be ready for use in 2022, which means the Apple Watch Series 8 could get them.
Apple Talking about providing health monitoring feature in smartwatch, it is far ahead of its competitors. The tech giant was recently granted a new patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). According to a report by Apple, the patent pertains to checking the hydration level of a person with the help of Apple Watch.
The method described in the patent deals with taking samples of a person’s sweat by measuring one or more electrical properties of sweat with the help of electrodes in the watch. Data collected as electrical properties can be correlated with the concentrations of electrolytes present in sweat. As mentioned, certain electrodes at the base of the Apple Watch dial, located on the inside of the wrist strap, can trick data collection by measuring electrical properties.
