Malayalam actor Arjun Ashokan is all set for his upcoming film Khajuraho Dreams. Directed by Manoj Vasudev, Saregama Malayalam unveiled its teaser yesterday (April 9). Within a day, the teaser generated a phenomenal response with over 100,000 views. There is one more thing that makes this teaser unique – a reference to Dulquer Salmaan’s Charlie. Cine lovers wonder what Charlie has to do with the story of Khajuraho Dream. The teaser did not reveal the release date of Khajuraho Dream and it is currently in the post-production stage. The teaser shows how a couple of friends, who share a common love for travel, go on a bike trip. They decide to travel from Kochi to Khajuraho via Wayanad, Mysore, Hubli and Nashik.

Apart from praises, the teaser of Khajuraho Dreams has also received some criticism. A user commented that despite the great cast, the teaser has flaws. Another commented that there was nothing in the trailer that could motivate the audience to watch Khajuraho Dreams. A user also wrote that whenever the trailer of a Malayalam film is released, the audience praises it a lot. But the reality turns opposite as soon as the film is released. According to this user, 99% of Malayalam movies are utter flops and this movie looks pretty much the same.

Apart from Khajuraho Dreams, Arjun last played a lead role in the film Thurmukham. Directed by Rajeev Ravi, Arjun played the role of Hamza, who is afraid to support trade unions. Hamza never expresses it verbally but the audience watching the film can feel it. Fans loved his performance and felt that he brilliantly portrayed the dilemma of a man who supports a cause. However, he is afraid to publicly reveal that support. Thuramukham revolves around the story of opposition to the chappa system. This system was prevalent in Cochin port during the 1950s.
