The online classes will start from Wednesday and will continue as regular as the first year students below the age of 18 cannot be vaccinated right now.

Lady Dok College Principal and Secretary Christiana Singh said that COVID-19 had already delayed the start of classes and they are not ready to give up on more semester days.

“After a 3-day online orientation program starting Wednesday, we will start online classes from next week. Since we are going for a continuous evaluation system to evaluate the semester scores, we do not want to miss the working days, even if it is through online mood. We are keen to ensure that our batch of students also get quality education during the pandemic,” she explained.

D. Pandiaraja, principal of Thyagaraja College, said they are planning to conduct an online bridge course after the scheduled orientation on Friday.

“The 1-week online refresher course aims to bridge the gap between school and college studies with separate plans for each department. We will just make students feel welcome and then start regular online classes,” he said.
