Aryan Khan drug case: Sam D’Souza linked to extortion bid, moves HC for bail before arrest – Times of India

I asked to speak to both sides. Pooja Dadlani said, ‘I am the decision maker’. So I said, this is the right guy because he is talking to the authorities and He is the one who will help you. Then he spoke and we all left, by 5.30 pm.”

In the application, D’Souza said that he was falsely implicated and it was Gosavi and later bodyguard Prabhakar Cell, who were witnesses in the case, who were the “main conspirators and fraudsters”.

D’Souza further claimed that there were allegations of corruption and extortion against an NCB officer and others including himself, and that a deal worth Rs 18 crore was struck for the release of a key accused (Aryan Khan).

Following these allegations, the Maharashtra government had constituted a special investigation team to probe the matter.

“The applicant (D’Souza) has apprehension that he may be arrested by this SIT and hence is seeking pre-arrest bail and interim protection from arrest,” the plea said.

D’Souza also claimed in his application that on October 2, he was informed by an acquaintance about the detention of an influential person by the NCB, after which he went to the cruise terminal gate where he met Kiran Gosavi and Manish. From Bhanushali.

Gosavi tells him that NCB has detained Aryan Khan and the 23-year-old wants to talk to Pooja Dadlani, his father’s manager.

The application said, “Kiran Gosavi revealed that Aryan Khan had no medicine and was innocent. Kiran Gosavi assured me that he could help Aryan Khan get relief and asked me to join Pooja Dadlani. asked for.”

D’Souza then added Dadlani through a mutual friend and met him in Lower Parel with Gosavi.

The application said, “Gosavi showed him (Dadlani) a list in which Aryan Khan’s name was not present and informed him that Aryan Khan does not have any drugs and he can help him out of this situation. Is.”

D’Souza left to give privacy to Gosavi and Dadlani and, therefore, was not a part of their discussion, the application states, adding that when D’Souza came to know about Aryan Khan’s arrest in the case the next day, he was taken aback. .

The applicant further stated that he was informed by his acquaintance Sunil Patil that Gosavi had taken Rs 50 lakh from Pooja Dadlani through his bodyguard Prabhakar cell.

“Gosavi and SAIL are the main conspirators in the case. After coming to know about this, the sole motive of the applicant was to recover the money and save his image. Thereafter, he recovered the money and returned it to Pooja Dadlani. Her husband, “As stated in the application.

It said, “The applicant is an innocent person who has nothing to do with the alleged offense and has been falsely implicated by Prabhakar Cell.”

In his plea, D’Souza has sought three days’ notice and anticipatory bail before taking any coercive action against him.

The application is likely to be mentioned before the vacation bench of the High Court next week, seeking urgent hearing.

Gosavi is currently in the custody of Pune Police in a fraud case.

SAIL had earlier alleged that Gosavi tried to extort money from Shah Rukh Khan so that Aryan Khan could be released in the case.

SAIL had alleged that a part of the money was to be handed over to Sameer Wankhede, Mumbai zonal director of NCB.

Last week, Wankhede had approached the High Court seeking protective orders.

The Maharashtra government had then assured the court that it would give three days’ advance notice if it planned to take any punitive action against Wankhede.

Aryan Khan, who was arrested by the NCB on October 3 after a raid on a cruise ship, was granted bail by the HC last week.
