Ashneer Grover says he got Bigg Boss offer after not getting any invite from Shark Tank India 2

New Delhi: Former BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover, who has not been invited as a judge on the highly popular Shark Tank India Season 2, has revealed that he had received an offer from the hit reality TV show Bigg Boss.

However, Grover told Red FM that he would not join the madness of Bigg Boss because “failures go there, successful people don’t”.

In the second season of Shark Tank India, CarDekho co-founder and CEO Amit Jain has replaced Grover as a judge.

Other judges, who were also part of the Season 1 team, are Piyush Bansal of Lenskart, Aman Gupta of BoAt, Anupam Mittal of Shaadi.com, Ghazal Alagh of Mamaearth and Vinita Singh of Sugar Cosmetics.

When asked if the makers of Shark Tank India could not afford him more, Grover said: “Affordable sirf paise se nahi hota hai, aukaat se hota hai”.

Grover, former founder and CEO of BharatPe, has penned his memoir titled ‘Doglapan (Double Standards) – The Hard Truth About Life and Start-ups’, which will be available this month.

Presented as the unhinged story of Startup India’s favorite and misunderstood poster boy Ashner Grover, the memoir is being called “raw, raw in its honesty and utterly heart-wrenching, storytelling at its finest.”

After allegedly defrauding fintech platform BharatPe, Ashner and his wife Madhuri Jain Grover have also formed a new company called Third Unicorn Pvt Ltd, and are set to launch a third startup.

The nature of the startup is not yet known.
