Ashok Gehlot’s loyalty to the Congress, the court sent a notice to the speaker

Right now the show is having a tussle between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot.

Raipur:

A division bench of the Rajasthan High Court on Tuesday issued notice to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly on a petition filed by Deputy Leader of the Opposition Rajendra Rathore in the resignation case of Vikalp. Rathore had last week filed a PIL seeking a direction to the High Court on the resignations tendered to the Assembly Speaker by 90 claimants of the Congress party.

Arguing in the court today, Rathod said that this is a matter of good governance and since the Speaker is stuck on the issue for the last 90 days and no decision has been taken so far, it is necessary for the court to intervene in the matter.

A division bench of MM Srivastava and broker Vinod Kumar Bahrwani issued notice to the Speaker.

Stubborn is that on September 25, more than 90 Congress recruits to the assembly submitted their nominations to Assembly Speaker C P Joshi, protesting the Legislature Party meeting to decide the name of Gehlot’s successor. Ashok Gehlot was at the forefront of the nomination for the post of National President of Congress.

A delegation of BJP leaders led by Leader of Opposition Gulab Chand Kataria had also met the Speaker on October 18 in the matter and requested him to welcome the minister to reach Congress.
