As per the official notice, the Assam Board HSLC English board exam has been canceled after receiving reports from the local authorities that some students at a particular exam center were allegedly involved in “unscrupulous practices during the examination”.
The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has canceled the Class 10 English exam at one center in Cachar district. The decision to cancel the English exam paper was taken following reports of students using unfair means at the JR Junior Secondary School, Gonirgram Higher Secondary Examination Center in Cachar.
The Assam Board has not yet announced the re-exam date. According to the official notice shared by Education Minister Ranoj Pegu, the English board exam for HSLC has been canceled after receiving reports from local authorities that some students at a particular exam center were allegedly “using unfair means during the examination”. were involved in.
SEBA will take appropriate action after receiving the report. SEBA has also directed the students to appear for the remaining examinations without resorting to any unfair means. The board has sought reports from district level committees and High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLC) examination centers to inform them of any discrepancy in the upcoming days of examination.
The Assam Board has urged the cooperation of the candidates, examination officials, invigilators and parents for the smooth conduct of the examinations. The board said that in the last few days, SEBA has received verbal complaints from other exam centers as well and has sought reports from the concerned district authorities.
The Assam Board conducted the Class 10 English exam as per schedule on Friday, March 3. Currently, the HSLC 10th exam is being conducted in 912 centers across the state for around 4.22 lakh candidates. According to the official date sheet, the class 10 exams will continue till March 20.
The HSLC 2023 exam will be concluded on the last date with papers for Advanced Mathematics, Geography, Commerce, Home Science, History, Sanskrit, Computer Science, Nepali, Arabic and Persian. Earlier, the Assam Board had conducted the practical examinations from February 24 to February 25.
