Samrat Nath, a young boy from Assam’s Karimgang district, has developed an anti-theft electronic bicycle using modern sensors and tracking systems. They have developed this e-bike, which is powered by a recycled lithium-ion battery from a used laptop. The bike is likely to offer a range of 60 kms with a maximum speed of 40 kmph on a single charge. They have also installed fingerprint feature to add extra security to their bikes. “If someone tries to steal it I will get a message on my phone and the alarm will be activated. I have developed an app to control this bike. It can be controlled from anywhere in the world,” he said while talking to ANI.
