Assembly Election 2022 Live Updates: Sidhu will not allow any ‘MLA’s son’ to meet Congress President; First phase ‘eye opener’ for BJP: Akhilesh

Relaxed its guidelines a bit yesterday. Meanwhile, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has said that the first phase of UP elections will be an ‘eye-opener’ for the BJP.

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday attacked the BJP government, saying the “eyes and ears of the government will be opened in the first phase itself”, as farmers and youth have “made up their mind” to defeat the BJP. This was Akhilesh Yadav’s first meeting in Karhal after filing his nomination papers from the Mainpuri district assembly seat. Karhal goes to the polls in the third phase on February 20. ‘The way the wind is blowing and seeing the atmosphere (of elections), it seems that the eyes and ears of the (BJP) government will be opened in the first phase itself. Former Chief Minister of UP.

The eyes and ears of the government, which has been closed till now, will be opened in the first phase itself because the farmers and youth have made up their mind to defeat the BJP. Speaking earlier in Agra, he alleged that people were being threatened against voting for his party over the phone after he emerged as a powerful contender in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

He also asked people to record such threatening calls so that FIRs could be registered on their basis after his government came to power. “Ever since SP has emerged as a powerful contender in the elections, people are being threatened over the phone. If anyone has such a call, record it. I want to say that the recording will be treated as an FIR,” Yadav said without naming anyone.

Yadav made this allegation while addressing a meeting of workers in the Bah assembly constituency of Agra. He said that the assembly elections in the state are to save the future of Uttar Pradesh and the constitution of the country. “This election is to save the future of UP and the Constitution. BJP can do anything and till they do, nobody knows. Did anyone know that demonetisation was about to be announced? He asked as proof of his allegation. Yadav also mocked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who said in a recent statement that he would “calm down” after March 10, the day of the declaration of election results, fueling the passion.

“The chief minister is talking about cooling off. But we will only talk about announcing recruitment in police for the youth of the state,” Yadav said. The SP chief reiterated that his party would provide 300 units of electricity free to domestic consumers and old pension to government employees. “The electricity bill gives (to the consumers) an electric shock. The BJP government has not set up even a single power plant and we are forced to pay exorbitant rates of electricity. The BJP’s ‘transformer’ will be ‘fused’ with voters’ anger, Yadav said, adding that the SP would give 300 units of free electricity to the people after coming to power.

According to a former senior power officer of UP, all the transformers are connected to the common secondary circuit through secondary fuses. The purpose of these fuses is to disconnect a faulty transformer from the secondary circuit. He said that fuses are used to protect electrical equipment when the system is overloaded. “The chief minister had promised to distribute laptops and tablets, but did anyone get anything? Yadav said that farmers are forced to fence their fields and the money being released for rehabilitation of stray cows is not reaching the people. “This chief minister can only change the name and colour, so we should also bring some changes,” he said.

The SP chief also said, ‘We will distribute laptops to the youth after coming to power. Samajwadi Party will give 22 lakh jobs to the youth in the IT sector. We have also decided to restore old pension of government employees. Praising the farmers, the former UP CM said that they continued to work in the fields and saved our economy when everything was shut during the COVID-19 pandemic. Recalling the helpline Dial-100 started during his tenure, the SP chief said, “Police was short of funds and used to take money from victims to nab the accused.” We sent police officers to New York to study the workings of the police there and started Dial 100. But the (current) chief minister changed the dial 100 to 112. Talking about the ‘Dial 100’ emergency service, he said, “We have started ‘Dial 100’ to save people from any kind of harassment across the state. The Chief Minister has neither been able to change the tires of the vehicles nor has he Dial 100 is the color of vehicles. The Chief Minister has only changed the name of Dial 100 to 112.” Hitting out at the state government for alleged mismanagement during the second wave of Covid in April-May last year, Akhilesh said, “When COVID-19 came, we all wore masks but the government was unable to do anything. failed. In those difficult times, ambulances procured by the SP government were used to take patients to hospitals. BJP could not even provide necessary injections for Covid patients. Yadav, who is currently the MP from Azamgarh, said that he will never forget the people of Azamgarh as they have chosen him and Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav).

Attacking the BJP, he said, ‘BJP people lie that development has happened in Mainpuri itself. I want to assure you that we will make the development of Etawah and Karhal an example of the development of the state. Yadav also paid tribute to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar after her death on Sunday. “The passing of Lata Mangeshkar is a very sad news. There is no singer in the world who has sung more than 3000 songs. After coming to power, Samajwadi Party will do something in his name in the state.
