Aster Healthcare Q1 consolidated revenue up 12% to ₹2,662 cr

New Delhi: Aster DM Healthcare has reported 12% year-on-year (YoY) growth in its consolidated revenue from operations for the June quarter. 2,662 crore, while net profit up 34% 80 crores during this period.

“We have started Q1 on a positive note with revenue growth of 12% on a consolidated basis. Revenue in GCC grew 10% over last year, while strong growth momentum continued in India, with revenue growing at 18% over Q1 FY22. Adjusting for contributions from COVID testing last year, GCC revenue grew by 18%. In India, revenue grew by 26% when adjusted for COVID-related vaccinations. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman and Managing Director, Aster DM Healthcare said, this clearly indicates the growth of business activity in both the geographies.

During the three months ending June, the 140-bed Aster Mother Hospital in Arikode, Kerala started operations.

Aster Labs entered into four states of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with two reference laboratories, 15 satellite laboratories and 109 patient experience centres.

“We expanded Aster Pharmacy branded retail stores in India, operated by AlphaOne Retail Pharmacies Private Limited or ARPPL, to 176 pharmacies by 30 June 2022. As part of its service proposition, Aster Pharmacy in India has launched its e- Commerce operations are planned to start in the second half of FY23,” Azad Moopen said.

“We have our two new hospitals ready for operation – Aster Sharjah with 101 beds, which had a soft launch during Q1, and Aster Royal in Oman with 145 beds. We are excited to be rolling these out in the second quarter of this year as we continue to expand our footprint in GCC. Our new initiative in digital expansion continues on the planned lines. We have successfully launched our digital app in GCC, which will be made available in India soon.”

“We have submitted plans for a proposed integrated advanced healthcare facility in the name of Aster Capital Hospital in Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala. The hospital is expected to be operational by FY26 with a capacity of 350 beds with a facility of 550 beds in the first phase.
