AstraZeneca reports upbeat test results from Covid drug – Times of India

London: British pharmaceuticals giant astraZeneca A treatment trial on Monday revealed more positive results COVID-19 Symptoms.
AstraZeneca said in a statement, the drug, made by combining the two antibodies, achieved a “statistically significant reduction in severe Covid-19 or death” in non-hospitalized patients with mild to moderate symptoms.

“With continuing cases of severe Covid-19 infection around the world, there is a critical need for new therapies such as AZD7442 that can be used to protect vulnerable populations … and also help halt the progression of severe disease.” ,” said principal trial investigator Hugh Montgomery.
“These positive results suggest that a convenient intramuscular dose of AZD7442 may play an important role in helping combat this devastating epidemic.”
The trial involved 903 participants and 90 percent of them were people who were at high risk of progressing to severe Covid-19.
