Yoga is not only good for your physical health, but it also helps in strengthening your mental health. Yoga requires practice and sharpness requires core strength, agility and balance. But have you ever wondered what it is like to do yoga in space? Astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti of a European Space Agency can be seen in a difficult yoga pose in zero gravity in a new viral video.
Ms Cristoforetti can be seen following an instructor from Cosmic Kids performing various yoga postures – a platform for mindfulness for children. The astronaut is wearing an elastic band in zero gravity. In the 15-second clip, she is seen balancing her body while doing an eagle eye pose while she holds the pose in a criss-cross position.
The post’s caption read, “Yoga in weightlessness? Done! It’s a little tricky, but with the right posture and some creative freedom you can do it.”
