At least 20 dead in Guyana school dormitory fire: officials

Georgetown, Guyana:

At least 20 people were killed in a fire at a school dormitory in the central Guyana mining town, the government announced in a statement on Sunday night.

The death toll in the fire at Mahdia Secondary School rose to 20 and many more were injured, the statement said.
