Australian woman who won Rs 55 lakh jackpot was ignoring the call, thinking it was a scam

Some people try their luck on a lottery ticket on a regular basis and then others just accidentally buy one without much hope of hitting the jackpot. An Australian woman from New South Wales probably comes from the second category. Although he won 100,000 AUD (about Rs 55,42,546), he believed it was a scam until a few days later. He only found out about the grand prize after dodging calls and emails for several days, assuming they were scammers. He also received a consolation prize of AUD 1000, taking his total prize money to close to Rs 56 lakh.

The woman told staff at The Lott that she had bought a ticket to her February 25 Lucky Lottery drawing, but later did not remember seeing her account.

She explained to The Lott, “I received phone calls and emails right after the drawing, but I didn’t answer or pay attention because I didn’t recognize the phone number or email address! ‘It’s clearly a thief,’ I mind.” That’s what I thought.

However, when she decided to log into her The Lott account a few days later, she was both shocked and shocked. He realized that he had indeed won the prize money and that it was not a scam. “I went straight to my husband and we were verifying the results. It was difficult for us to understand it,” she said.

The jackpot winner, however, still does not know how she is going to spend her winnings. She said she is waiting for the amount to be transferred to her bank before deciding what to do with the money. He assured that it will be put to good use.

“I’ve been playing for ten years, so I’m very happy to get the jackpot,” she said.
