Noida: Six-lane, 697-metre Signature flyover under construction, with nearly 40% work complete Parthala Likely to be opened to the public this July, Noida Authority officials said on Sunday. The Rs 83 crore project is expected to facilitate signal-free movement of over 1.50 lakh commuters from Noida to Greater Noida West and Ghaziabad to FNG road in Noida.
According to Rights Officials, for the project all 52 piles or piles along with foundation piles have been put in place and the remaining work is scheduled to be completed by June.
“We will open the Parthala flyover for public by July this year. For this, all the work related to the Signature Bridge will be completed by June.
The elevated flyover will be built on three pillars which have already come up about 10 meters above the ground, while the middle of the bridge will be supported by 30 meters high pillars on both sides of the flyover as per the design. Ms. Sri Mangalam Buildcon Pvt. Ltd.
The authority has so far constructed pillars up to a height of 10 meters. The remaining 20 meters will be completed by the end of March, officials said, adding that the work on one side of the ramp will be completed within this month.
According to officials, to keep the Parthala roundabout intact, the middle part of the flyover is being prepared as a cable suspension bridge. “About 150 meters long length of the bridge will hang on 28 wires. Whereas the main support of the suspension bridge will be two pillars on either side,” Vaish said.
A ramp of 210 meters is also being built on either side of the bridge. “The ramp work on the Greater Noida west side will be completed within this month, while the ramp work on the Noida side will be completed by the end of March,” the official said, adding that the structure should be completely ready by June.
