Audi India registers 101 percent year-on-year growth, highest since 2008

Audi India released its annual sales numbers for the 2021 calendar year during which the company sold 3,293 units. Compared to last year, the Ingolstadt-based carmaker sold 1,693 units in 2020, thus witnessing a year-on-year growth of 101 per cent. Audi India has said that this is the highest annual growth since 2008. However, this growth is not significant as apart from challenges related to COVID-19, the company’s carpark in 2020 was less than half of what it is today. Therefore, this massive increase can be considered as a one-sided anomaly.
